There are two main rainy seasons in Kenya that dictate the best time to visit, rather than changes in temperature. The long rains are normally April through to mid June and the short rains in November, these months are known as the ‘low season’. During the high season it can be busy in certain areas although if you visit the right places and have a good guide these busy areas can be avoided. Low season months can still be very rewarding, it often does not rain every day, temperatures are cooler and accommodation more readily available although some properties do close for the rainy months. |
